Many guitarist specially the new with guitar has problem with rhythm pattern.

so i will give some idea about rhythm pattern today.
guitar rhythm or strumming pattern is very important if u want   to play  guitar with song.

normally  guitar rhythm has two strum pattern

D = down strum

U = up strum



the gap between this strum is considered as separate beat..if there is
 no space between strum like (DD)
 that means two strum in a single beat..
 
some 8 beat rhythm pattern


1. D U D U////D U D U
2. DD U D U////DD U D U
3.D D D D////D D D D
4.D DU D D////D DU D D
5.D DU DU D////D DU DU D


here D = sigle beat so in number 1 pattern which is  (D U D U////D U D U ) every down
strum or stroke is in single beat .so it goes like
down up down up again down up down up.this whole stroke make a 8 beat rhythm pattern.

Again in number 2 eight beat pattern  (DD) is considered as one single beat .
so here  (DD U D U////DD U D U)    the whole pattern has eight separate beat with DD =1 beat  .
